1. Moby Dick! The Musical

Written by Hereward Kaye, Martin Koch and Robert Longden, this musical is a crazy, over-the-top retelling of the classic English classroom staple. This musical is fantastic for a predominantly female cast and is full of clever jokes and incredibly catchy tunes.

2. Archy & Mehitabel

Cast: 20

No. of Act(s): 2

With music and lyrics by George Kleinsinger and Joe Darion, this under-the-radar musical features an incredible jazz score and a very original story about a cockroach in a deserted office. This particular option requires a little bit of larger-than-life props and sets (literally) and bizarre costumes, but can definitely be done with a little bit of design ingenuity.

3. Fame

This musical is perfect for a high school musical troupe with strong dancers. Written by José Fernandex, Steve Margoshes, Jacques Levy and David DeSilva, this musical has a great selection of juicy female and male roles that will surely appeal to your students.

4. All In Love

Written by Jacques Urbont and Bruce Geller, this musical is based on the 16th century classic, The Rivals. This romantic spoof is perfect for a strong comedic troupe and will appeal to a variety of audiences. Again, a few strong male singing actors are needed for this one!

5. Ernest In Love

This musical by Lee Pockriss and Anne Croswell is based on the classic Oscar Wilde novel, The Importance of Being Earnest. Requiring a couple strong male leads, this musical is great for high schools with a number of males involved their high schools. This musical is full of clever lyrics and is sure to keep your audience laughing.
