What does this mean?

These ticketing softwares stack up pretty nicely against one another; most of these softwares offer (and lack) similar features, which makes them fairly comparable. That being said, without pricing schemes for many of these softwares it’s difficult to measure the total value of each system. Here are a few key points to take note of:

  • Cinestar, Details, DoAttend and Doubleknot do not offer reserved seating capabilities.
  • DoAttend does not offer onsite ticketing.
  • Cinestar, CrowdTorch, Dedicated Ticketing System, Details, DoAttend and Doubleknot do not offer season ticket capabilities.
  • CentreStage, Cinestar, Datakal Ticketing, Dedicated Ticketing System and DoAttend do not offer fundraising management.
  • It’s unknown as to what Charta offers its clients but I would suspect that they would offer any feature their customers needed seeing that they are building custom software.

With half of these softwares lacking fundraising management and more than half without season ticket capabilities, I’m afraid that these softwares fall a little short when it comes to “the essentials” for performing arts organizations.
