How to Sell Tickets Through the Box Office – Transcript

Hi there. This is Jannah with TicketPeak, and today we’re going to be learning how to sell tickets with a credit card through the box office. So this would be for your box office volunteers or you, the admin, whoever is in charge of selling tickets at the box office.

To get started, we’re going to click on this Test Event and we’re going to click on Get Tickets and then you’ll see my information is here. But just to input, it would be just like that. You would select the ticket that you want to purchase and input all the required information and then select Credit Card Checkout and see, I had been testing, so I have a few here. You can delete as many as you’d like, or you could add more if you wanted to, depending on your needs for the sale.

Then you would select right here, if you have a connected card reader, this is where you would hit Select or Swipe Credit Card. You would select this button right here. Since I don’t have one, what you would next do is change the manual entry. But if you did have a card reader, you would select Read Card, swipe their credit card, and then it would register. But I’m going to manual-enter, so I’m going to input my credit card information and then hit Submit.

Once you’ve processed that sale and you hit the Submit button, the ticket will show up right here. From here, what you can do is you can either show the order or you can select Sell More Tickets to Same Event. If you have a line of people and you’re selling tickets to them, you would click that and then you would just continue that process.
